The new Yorkshire edition of TopicUK is now out and we are delighted at the response we have received.
We held a small event at The Dakota Hotel in Leeds on 6th July for our partners, contributors, supports and friends, which was very well attended, but that could have had something to do with the chocolate making demonstration, courtesy of David from Coeur de Chocolat!
I would like to thank Sir Rodney Walker for his ongoing support of TopicUK and for speaking at the event. I would also like to thank Debbie Dobson, Director of Sales at The Dakota and her team for helping to arrange at their amazing venue, providing beautiful moorish canapés.
If you haven’t got your copy yet, do hurry as stock is low already. That said, we are now looking for new outlets, mostly in York, Harrogate, Sheffield and Bradford, so if you would like to stock free copies, please do get in touch.
I was also delighted to attend the Institute of Directors, Director of the Year Awards on 5th July where we partnered for the third year running. My partner Rob, who is TopicUK Creative Director and I, attended with Adeem Younis, Chairman of Penny Appeal who was highly commended in two of the categories.
Tomorrow will see us attend the opening of the new creative and digital space, The Plex on Margaret Street Wakefield. This will be officially opened by Sir Rodney Walker.
I was lucky enough to have a private show round a few weeks ago and I can confirm that anyone looking for office space in Wakefield, would be hard pressed to find somewhere with such elegance in a convenient part of town. There will also be some news coming soon of TopicUK’s involvement with The Plex – watch this space!
