The Mid Yorkshire Chamber has announced 3 business surgeries that will be held at the 2017 Kirklees Business Conference (KBC) at The John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield on Wednesday 15th March.
The free, one-day conference will include a number of new elements this year in addition to the newly announced business surgeries.
Attracting over 500 business people and 50 exhibitors, KBC will include a fantastic programme of engaging seminars, a discussion panel focusing on major developments within Kirklees and open networking throughout the day.
Three business surgeries will be held by local businesses; Sheards Accountants, Equilibrium Risk and Pennine Business Partners.
Huddersfield-based, Sheards Accountants, will be running a number of small workshops throughout the day including a business start-up workshop and a Making Tax Digital workshop which will outline all the changes to the current tax system that were announced by the HMRC last year.
Equilibrium Risk, a specialist Security and Risk Management business, be giving businesses and organisations the opportunity to discuss their Cyber Security Concerns during the surgery sessions with two sessions running at 10.30am and 1pm.
Pennine Business Partners will be running drop in HR advice sessions throughout the day as well as seminars at 11:45 and 13:45 on Managing Absence in the Workplace.
In addition to the surgeries there will be four key seminars taking place during the day. The day will kick off with a Networking Masterclass from Martin Haigh MBE, founder of development business, Lattitude7. The second seminar will come from expert business leaders within Kirklees Business Hub, discussing how a high performance workplace can increase your bottom line. Stewart Leahy from The Design Mechanics will then provide attendees with an insight into how the right business model and marketing strategy can encourage growth for your business in the digital age.
Delegates will then have the opportunity to hear all about the exciting HD One Development and other regeneration projects within Kirklees. This discussion panel session will provide an opportunity to have questions answered by an influential panel of key stakeholders including; Gareth Davies, Managing Director of KSDL, Naz Parkar, Director of Place at Kirklees Council, Mark Hanson, Managing Director of Hanson Chartered Surveyors, and Professor Tim Thornton, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of The University of Huddersfield. Closing the seminar programme, will be award winning speaker John Hotowka who will empower attendees to achieve more with less in a motivational talk.
