Recruiter expansion driving Sheffield tech demand

Affecto Recruitment has made the latest in a string of strategic appointments to help drive the continued growth of the Sheffield tech and digital sector.

Senior Recruiter Mark Reed has been promoted to the position of Business Manager after just 12 months with the Sheffield-based specialist tech recruitment firm and will now be responsible for day to day operations of the company, which celebrated record turnover in 2016.

Meanwhile, newly appointed Sophie Chapman-Dempster joins the firm’s Project & Programme Delivery team, and will focus on helping Project Managers, Business Analysts and many other talented individuals within this space.

Daniel Koseoglu, MD of Affecto, said he wants the business to continue to drive the thriving tech sector in Sheffield and beyond, and that the new company structure will support its ambitious targets. He continued:
“From day one we recognised that in the fast moving tech market, we needed to be ahead of the curve, pre-empting demand from employers and developing innovative strategies and solutions that enable us to provide the support required. This forward-looking approach has seen us become the disruptive force in the industry over the last three years and these latest appointments will enable us to further strengthen our position in the market.”

Commenting on the growing number of tech companies in the city Koseoglu adds:
“Sheffield has been home to some of the best and most innovative SMEs and small business in the country for many years, but it’s now that many larger firms are recognising the wealth of talent in the area and as a result, are choosing to relocate their company here.

“We at Affecto specialise in rapidly upscaling tech businesses and have partnered with many Sheffield firms – such as The Floow – to bring talent into their organisations and fuel growth.

“We are dedicated to driving this demand for specific skills and specialisms in the tech and digital arenas and, by expanding our recruiter team – with the addition of Sophie – we are able to offer a wider range of solutions and increase the number of businesses we can support.”

Affecto aims to once again double its consultant base in the coming months as part of an aggressive growth plan which has seen it more than quadruple its headcount since moving to new premises in Kelham Island’s Neepsend Business Centre last year.
