Adeem Younis, Chairman of Wakefield based humanitarian charity Penny Appeal, was announced as Young Director of the Year at the Institute of Directors Annual Director of the Year awards at The Principal Hotel, York last night (5 July).
Adeem beat off stiff competition to walk away with the title, which will now see him represent Yorkshire and the North East in the same category at the Institute’s National Director of the Year Awards, later this year at the Lancaster Hotel in London.
Speaking about the award Adeem said: “I am humbled and honored to receive this accolade when faced with such strong competition and talent from others within the category. I am now looking forward to representing our region in the same category at the National awards.”
Adeem is a serial entrepreneur and owner of several thriving businesses including Penny Appeal and SingleMuslim.com, the largest Muslim website in the UK. With a passion for serving the Muslim community, Adeem has also been asked to represent the Muslim community as an ambassador for the Yorkshire Society, a position he was delighted to accept.
