The former village hall and community centre at West View in Paddock, just over a mile from Huddersfield town centre, is to be put up for auction next month.

The 6,000 sq ft property will appear in auction house Pugh’s online property auction on 18 October and has been given a guide price of £115,000.
Arranged over ground and first floors, the former village hall and community centre includes a large meeting hall, two kitchens, an IT room, toilets, numerous offices as well as reception and meeting rooms. Acquired by Paddock Trust from Kirklees Council in 2015, the centre delivered a range of services including adult learning, drop-in advice and support sessions, open access to IT and internet facilities as well as other community events.

Will Thompson, associate director at auction house Pugh, said: “This former village hall is in a fantastic location, a stone’s throw from Huddersfield town centre, and with a primary school, a post office, and an athletics club, on the doorstep. The M62, with easy access to Leeds and Manchester is also only three miles away.

“This is definitely a great time to be investing in Huddersfield as Kirklees Council implements the Huddersfield Blueprint Plan which will see a £250m regeneration of the town centre.”

Bidding on Paddock’s former village hall and community centre, and the other lots in Pugh’s online property auction, opens on 20 October and closes the following day.
