Barnsley College is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2016 with a series of events throughout the week commencing 14 March 2016.
The college will be hosting a number of events for those interested in applying for an apprenticeship including an Apprenticeship Open Evening on Tuesday 15 March 2016, where attendees will be able to talk to the college’s industry specialists and apply for apprenticeship vacancies. The event will take place at Barnsley College’s Old Mill Lane Campus, Church Street, Barnsley, S70 2AX, between 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
There will be a drop in session for those with questions at the Apprenticeship Pop Up Shop on Wednesday 16 March 2016. The college’s Work Based Learning team will be available to support applications and queries between 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the Queen’s Court Business Centre, Barnsley, S70 2EG.
On Thursday 17 March, businesses are welcomed to join the college for an Employer Conference at the Think Low Carbon Centre. Guest speakers including Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, Sheffield Hallam University, SafetyNett Ltd, and many more, will be talking about topical issues such as the Apprenticeship Reforms, addressing the skills gap and Barnsley’s future growth. Those interested in attending are asked to book tickets as places are limited.
