Huddersfield Live, the events company established by business people in the town last year, is hosting its first “Business Partners Event” on Monday 20th March from 4-6pm.
This will be an opportunity for businesses in the town to hear about progress so far and find out ways in which they can become involved in the exciting programme of events that Huddersfield Live has planned over the next 12 months.
As the Managing Director of Huddersfield Live, Chris Alexander, explains:
“We have been working really hard to ensure that events in Huddersfield are protected and developed with our most high profile success to date being the opportunity to deliver the Food and Drink Festival this August. The response we have received from traders and the general public has been excellent and we now want to connect with businesses in the town and discuss with them how events like this and others that we have in the pipeline can deliver tangible benefits for them.
The Food and Drink Festival, for example, will attract over 110,000 people to the town centre over four days. We have opportunities for companies to connect directly to this audience before, during and after the event itself and we are able to create bespoke agreements that are specifically designed to return value to the individual businesses with whom we are working. These opportunities extend to a range of other events that we will be delivering over the next 12 months.
The financial model that has been relied upon for years to deliver events is no longer fit for purpose and we want to work with business owners and business leaders in the town to create a platform that will enable Huddersfield to develop and maintain an events programme that is appropriate for a town of this size. Vibrant events are good for individuals, communities and businesses – we hope that the event on 20th March will help us all to engage in the production of a sustainable programme that will be enjoyed for years to come”.
The Business Partners Event is by invitation only and anyone interested in attending should contact Chris via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
