A Leeds-based charity is hosting the city’s first free to attend business networking event with a focus on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in support of three other local charities.
Held this Thursday 10th August 9.30-11.30am by Specialist Autism Services, in partnership with Business in the Community, the event will see 30 delegates attend the event at John Lewis’ Community Hub in Leeds city centre.
The summer event is the first of a series of events set to run quarterly at the hub and provides an opportunity for the city’s businesses and charities to get together for the benefit of Leeds and the people that live in the city.
Three local charities will be invited to each event, alongside some of the area’s key business leaders. The first event will see The Donkey Sanctuary, Simon On the Streets and Epilepsy Action speak about the work they are doing across Leeds.
James Prince, Head of Branch, John Lewis Leeds comments:
“We’re happy to support this event in our Community Hub, which is available for any good cause or charity to book, completely free of charge. It’s great that our local community in Leeds is embracing the space for networking with a CSR purpose.”
Karl Wilson – Fundraising & Engagement Officer Specialist Autism Services adds:
“We felt that it would be great to set up this event to help get businesses together to discuss how everyone can help each other along with supporting great causes, for the benefit of the city and the people that live here.”
