With a stellar line up of speakers from across Yorkshire sharing their start up journeys, Start Me Up is bringing new business owners into one great space for a jam-packed day of activity to support and enable business growth.

Start Me Up will be held at Tileyard North in Wakefield on Wednesday 19th April between 9.30am and 4pm. With state-of-the-art facilities and a focus on collaboration, this stunning venue has been custom built to host new business owners, founders, and entrepreneurs.

Brought to you by AD:VENTURE, a fully funded business growth programme for early stage businesses in North and West Yorkshire, this fantastic free event will provide opportunities for new businesses to connect, access business support services and share skills and knowledge with peers. Subject matter experts will also be on hand for anyone to grab a one to one with and get helpful insights and tips.

Speakers include Sam Teale of Sam Teale Productions, a Kirklees based start-up who created the viral alternative cost of living Christmas advert in 2022, Kate Hutchinson, founder of York based The Secret Event service, Wakefield based Munir Mamujee from M2R Global recruitment, Georgia Halston, founder of the Leeds based Halston Group, Alixe Lobato, Creative Director at The Flying Duck Studio lab located in Hebden Bridge and topped of with a keynote from Dirk Mischendahl, founder of the Norther Bloc. The day will be expertly hosted by Sian Marie Gabbidon, businesswoman, fashion designer and winner of The Apprentice and Rima Ahmed, radio presenter and award-winning journalist.

Refreshments will be available throughout, including a fully catered networking lunch by the Yorkshire Deli. There will also be a flexible workspace in a quiet zone for those urgent emails and tasks and a photographer on site offering a free professional profile picture.
