Consultation Period Begins for Proposed Middleton Primary School

A seven-week consultation period for a proposed new primary school in Middleton, Leeds, will begin on Friday November 24.

Elements Primary School, which is still subject to planning permission, will use this time to respond to parents’ queries and concerns over the new school.

The period will include a consultation evening at Tenants Hall, Middleton, to which all prospective students’ parents are invited. This event will take place on Thursday December 14 from 5pm to 7pm.

At the consultation event, parents will be asked to give their opinion on the plans for Elements Primary School and its proposed location at Acre Mount.

The consultation period for Elements ends on Friday January 12.

An open evening for the proposed school has been announced for Wednesday November 29 from 6pm at Tenants Hall, Middleton.

The school’s newly appointed Principal, Sarah Horsbrough, will outline the plans and take questions.

Elements is a proposed primary school which will be managed by Wellspring Academy Trust, joining 15 schools across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. The trust has achieved notable successes that include Top 10 Most Improved Primary School in 2015 and Top 5 Most Improved Secondary School in 2017.

Admissions to Elements Primary School through the Leeds City Council application process are now open to children of Reception age in September 2018. Admissions close mid January 2018.
