Calderdale-based Deighton Engineers has ceased to trade. Sarah Long and Antony Denham of DL Partnership (UK) Limited have been appointed as Joint Liquidators of the company and have assisted with the structured closure of the business.

The family run business had traded successfully for over 30 years but battled to recover from the Covid-19 restrictions aligned with pressure from increases in raw materials and wider manufacturing costs resulting in the decision to cease trading.

Asset advisory firm Walker Singleton has been instructed to arrange the disposal of the company’s property and assets via online auction.

The auction includes engineering, fabrication and welding equipment, as well as Ford Transit dropside lorry and additional power tools and workshop equipment.

Luke Hartshorn, Associate Director with Walker Singleton said “We have engaged with the business over several years providing support and advice on the market values of the property and assets. The market for manufacturing equipment has remained strong."
