Local Huddersfield architectural practice France and Associates, who specialise in adaptations for disabled persons, will be part of a large team from Huddersfield walking The 3 Peaks on the 3rd of June to raise money for a young lady called Jen. Jen is a wheelchair user and suffers from cerebral palsy, scoliosis of the spine and Raynaud syndrome!
The 3 Peaks Challenge is the first of many fundraising events that will help to reach the target of £25,000, to provide Jen with a bespoke, accessible kitchen along with minor improvements to her home, significantly improving her independence.
The 24 mile walk, which includes the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, is typically completed in under 12 hours.
Any donations small or large are gratefully appreciated, all proceeds raised will go to Jen Day, via her “just giving page”, found via our website link http://www.franceandassociates.co.uk/news-1/ or https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/jen-day-3-peaks
