Huddersfield accountancy firm, Sheards Accountants, has announced the return of its popular ‘Connection’ events for 2018.
The first event of the year will take place on Thursday 1st March 2018, covering four areas of business that GDPR will affect, including IT, HR, data handling and marketing.The event will take place at Huddersfield RUFC and will cover four areas of business that GDPR will affect; IT, HR, Data Handling and Marketing.
A panel of industry experts will present on how GDPR will impact their area of business.
Martin Page, Director of P2 Technologies, will be presenting a “Simple guide to IT security and GDPR”.
Sarah Edwards, Employment Law Advisor at Howarths People and Safety Management, will be discussing the application of GDPR to the processing of employee data and compliance in the context of the employment relationship.
Mark Pullar from All My Systems will be covering how GDPR will affect data handling within businesses, and Katrina Cliffe, managing director of KC Communications, will provide a deeper understanding of how GDPR will impact on the success of lead generation and marketing campaigns.
A Sheards spokesperson said: “With GDPR coming into force in May 2018, it is of vital importance that business owners understand how it will impact various areas of their organisation.”
The event and will begin at 11:30am, with an opportunity to network with other businesses. The session will start at 12pm and will finish with a Q&A. Following the Q&A, lunch will be served and another opportunity to network with fellow delegates.
